This new 3 storey state-of-the-art high school has a capacity of 600 students. It contains spaces for multi-purpose learning rooms, administration, active health living, arts, cafeteria, family studies, information technology, laboratory rooms, library/resource, student services, storage, technology, textiles, gymnasium, drama, theater and collaborative open concept learning street.
M&R Engineering is responsible for electrical design including Lighting, Power, Communications and Security.
Key Facts:
The lighting control system incorporates a combination of low voltage relays, occupancy sensors, daylight sensors to reduce power usage through daylight harvesting and programmable software based controls.
Full cut-off, dark sky compliant fixtures in combination with house side shields are installed to reduce light pollution achieving LEED credit SSc.8 for sustainable sites.
Addressable fire alarm system complete with graphic annunciator panel.
Classrooms are equipped with assistive listening systems, ceiling mounted projectors with associated sound system and multimedia connections. Additionally, the gymnasium and cafeteria are equipped with independent sound systems.
