Your main responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Finance Director, the Financial Controller will oversee day-to-day financial activities, commercial collaboration, and the production of monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory reports.

  • Prepare monthly divisional financial reports, identifying key financial trends and providing detailed analysis to support decision making,

  • Perform monthly and quarterly closing of accounting records,

  • Oversee the customer billing process and participate in work-in-progress evaluations for unbilled items,

  • Oversee the payables process from invoice entry to supplier payments,

  • Oversee the entire payroll process,

  • Manage the division's cash flow,

  • Prepare all tax and regulatory compliances, including preparation and submission of information to legal authorities,

  • Maintain accounting controls and make improvements where necessary.

Your profile

  • Bachelor's degree in a field of study related to the position or combination of relevant education and experience,

  • At least five (5) years of experience in financial field,

  • Experience in a professional firm (asset),

  • Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) designation (asset),

  • English (written and spoken),

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel formulas and pivot tables, with knowledge of Power BI being an asset for advanced data analysis,

  • Ability to apply tax regulations as required, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations,

  • Organized and detail oriented,

  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make strategic recommendations.
